Queensland records 10 deaths | Herald Sun

Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr John Gerrard says 10 deaths have been recorded in the latest reporting period.

It comes as the Sunshine State recorded 4,919 new COVID-19 cases.

Dr Gerrard said hospitalisations “remain stable” with 391 COVID-19 patients in public hospitals, 31 of whom are in intensive care and in private hospitals, there are 23 people.

“Sadly, we have 10 deaths to report today, one person in their 50’s, one in their 60’s, two in their 70’s, five in their 80’s, and one in their 90’s,” Dr Gerrard said.

“Of these, two were not vaccinated, one person had one dose of a vaccine, and four had received two doses of a vaccine, and three had received a booster.”

He also said four of the deaths reported on Saturday were among aged care residents.
